COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Columbia Fire Department continues to investigate what caused a fire in the basement of Stewart Hall on the University of Missouri campus.

Crews responded just before 5 p.m. to 1114 University Ave for a fire alarm. When crews arrived, they found smoke coming from room 21.

Officials report 12 units and one University medic unit responded to the fire. Crews put out the fire and contained it to the room of origin.

There were no injuries reported.
