In the updated plan, the district has added remediation strategies for students and staff.

The Superintendent will be able to decide if mask requirements are needed after consultation with the Incident Command Team, the Columbia/Boone County Health Department, health and medical professionals and neighboring school district superintendents.

The CPS 14-day case rate is currently 49.3 positive cases per 10,000 students and staff.

CPS has 63 active student cases with 310 in quarantine. The district also has 7 staff cases and 8 staff in quarantine.

The BOE will also consider approving four board policies 'as a result of legal changes, language clarifications, and recommendations from MSBA.'

Those board policies are Use of Tobacco and Vaping Products, Board Member Conflict of Interest and Financial Disclosure, Payment Process and Hazardous Materials.

The meeting will be held in the Board Room of the Aslin Administration Building, 1818 West Worley Street.

The Executive Session begins at 5 p.m., while the Regular Session begins at 6:30 p.m.

The next Regular Session is scheduled for Oct. 11.
