Jefferson City man arrested for having over 3,000 images of child porn
JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)
A Jefferson City man was arrested in Cole County on a warrant for possession of child pornography after an investigation began in March 2021.
The Boone County Sheriff's Office Cyber Crimes Task Force received a CyberTip report from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) that a "Luis Alberto Narvaez Fonseca" had over 3,000 files of child porn.
Google reported that between Dec. 2020 and Jan. 2021, the user logged into the geo-located account to Jefferson City.
In Sept. 2021, a task force investigator talked with Fonseca, who was in custody on unrelated charges. He identified the phone number and email addresses associated with the accounts reported by NCMEC.
Fonseca is charged with possession of child porn.
Fonseca is being held in the Cole County Jail with no bond.
Fonseca is set to be arraigned on Monday.
