Charges dropped after Columbia police arrest three near Waffle House

UPDATE 3/15/22: Prosecutors dropped charges in this case in favor of a deferred prosecution agreement.
ORIGINAL: Prosecutors have charged three people after reports of a drive-by shooting in the 2900 block of South Providence Thursday morning.
Columbia police arrested Tatiana Moore, 20, Shamari Harris, 21, and Maxim Cilek, 20, all of Columbia, after a shooting near the Waffle house.
A large police presence had the northbound lanes of Providence Road blocked off around 2:30 a.m. after one Waffle House employee said he heard multiple gunshots while on his break.
The employee said he was actually with a police officer when the shots were fired. He said the officer quickly took off following the gunfire.
Police searched the area around Waffle House and Providence Road with flashlights, placing evidence markers on the ground in the area.
Moore and Cilek are charged with unlawful use of a weapon. Harris is charged with firing a gun from a vehicle.
All three are currently in Boone County Jail being held with no bond.
Officials say there were no injuries or property damage reported.
