COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Law enforcement agencies are looking for an unregistered motorcycle that is connected to double homicide suspect JT McLean.

Investigators say McLean has recently acquired a dark-colored motorcycle and fled the area on it. Officials say McLean did not register or title the motorcycle.

Authorities do not know the make, model or type of the motorcycle.

Prosecutors charged McLean in the Aug. 22 murders of Allison and Jozee Abitz in Columbia.

In court documents, police say a witness, a supermarket receipt and neighborhood surveillance videos connect McLean to the scene where Allison and Jozee were found dead in their home.

The Boone County Sheriff's Office says McLean has "made efforts to disappear and limit his ability to be tracked" by burning his phones and leaving his vehicles at his Callaway County residence.

McLean is an over-the-road truck driver with ties to Las Vegas;, Chicago; St. Peters, Minnesota; Columbia and Fulton, the sheriff's office said.

Anyone with information regarding a motorcycle that was recently sold or otherwise provided to McLean is asked to contact the Boone County Sheriff’s Office.
