Missouri Task Force 1 coming back from Louisiana after helping with Hurricane Ida relief

Missouri Task Force 1 is headed home after a week in Jefferson Parish, Louisiana, helping with Hurricane Ida relief.
The task force helped with search and reconnaissance operations in the parish and collected damage assessment information for officials.
The team left on August 27 with 80 personnel from all across Missouri and over 100,000 pounds of equipment with a convoy of 11 vehicles, including three tractor-trailers, four gooseneck trailers, two busses, one van, and one command vehicle. The deployed equipment cache had an enhanced water rescue package and consisted of six boats, four search K9s, equipment needed for large area search, heavy breaching and breaking equipment, and hazardous materials equipment.
The team is expected to be back in Boone County around noon Saturday.
