Two arrested after a multiagency catalytic converter theft investigation in Sedalia

SEDALIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Multiple law enforcement agencies arrested two people Wednesday morning after investigating the theft of catalytic converters in the Sedalia area.

The Sedalia police, Pettis County Sheriff’s Dept. detective and deputies from the Cooper County Sheriff’s Office served a search warrant at a business in Sedalia allegedly purchasing catalytic converters to be recycled. During the search, investigators found cutoff catalytic converters, cash and records. 

Law enforcement served a search warrant at a residence in Otterville. Investigators found cutoff catalytic converters stored outside and in a barn.

Law enforcement arrested Robert G. Roland, 48, of Otterville, and Crystal Y. Roland, 34, of Otterville, for felony stealing and failure to keep required records and registers of purchase.

Investigators seized 107 cutoff catalytic converters that were located at the two locations.
