Tracking Tropical Storm Ida along with scattered storms

Today: Scattered showers and storms will begin to develop this afternoon across much of Mid-Missouri. The greatest threats for these storms will be brief downpours and lightning. The high today will top out at 88 degrees with winds flowing from the south. Tropical storm Ida continues to track north through Mississippi and Alabama posing widespread threats of flooding and severe storms.

Tonight: Showers and storms will continue to track through Central Missouri thanks to a low-pressure system sitting overhead. The low will drop to 68 degrees.

Extended: Showers and storms begin to dissipate Tuesday night as a high pressure creeps into Missouri leading to mostly sunny sky conditions throughout the rest of the week with highs into the upper '80s.
