Two Mizzou wrestlers advance to finals at Junior Worlds

Two Mizzou wrestlers advanced to their respective gold medal matches at the Junior World Championships on Tuesday.

Keegan O'Toole (74kg) and Rocky Elam (97kg) will both represent Team USA in the finals on Wednesday.

O'Toole needed some last second heroics to punch his ticket to the gold medal match. You can watch his match-winning cradle here. The Mizzou All-American will now face Kazakhstan's Nurdaulet Kuanyshbay in the gold medal match on Wednesday.

Elam took down Russia's Ivan Kirillov, 5-3, in the semifinals to advance to the gold medal match. He'll face Iran's Mahdi Hajiloueianmorafah on Wednesday in the finals.

Meanwhile, Mizzou's Colton Hawks is done competing, but he still had an impressive showing in Russia. He lost to Georgia's Daviti Koguashvili, 9-6, in the quarterfinals at 86kg.

The finals begin on Wednesday at 8 a.m. central time. You can watch the competition on FloWrestling.
