Show Me State Games weekend forecast

That widespread rain has exited the area, leaving behind just a few spot showers to close out Friday. As athletes from across the state arrive in Columbia to show off their athletic talents, the Stormtrack Weather team has everything they need to know about the weather.

Rain chances are low for both Saturday and Sunday as that low pressure system slides to our east. On the backend of that low, we could see a few spot showers try to impact the weekend, but luckily, we’ll be tracking more dry time than rain.

Temperatures will also be cooler behind that cold front with highs only rising into the mid-80s. Dew points will stay in the 60s for the weekend, so it will be a little sticky both days. Just remember to drink a lot of water to counter that heat!

And while you’re thinking of things to grab as you head out the door, grab the sunscreen! We haven’t seen the sun in what seems like forever, but we should see some sunlight this weekend. In fact, the UV index is forecasted to be high which means you can burn in as little as 20 minutes.

Overall, Mother Nature seems to be apologizing for the nasty weather we saw last week, and this weekend looks to stay quite comfortable.
