SUNDAY UPDATES: Missouri’s seven day positivity rate climbs to close to 10%

The state now has a seven day positivity rate of 9.9% on Sunday. The increase in positivity comes along with an additional 864 confirmed cases of the coronavirus, bringing the total to 527,495.

The state also added 312 probable cases of the virus to the dashboard Sunday. In total, 95,131 probable cases of COVID-19 were discovered through antigen testing.

One new deaths was added Sunday. DHSS has recorded a total of 9,340 deaths in the state since the start of the virus.

The state dashboard says new cases are up by 20.9% over the past seven days. The positivity rate has jumped 2.2 percentage points in that same time, while tests are down 7.4%. 

In the state's healthcare system, 962 people are dealing with COVID-19 infections. Of those, 271 are in the ICU and 135 are on ventilators.

Sunday numbers show that 44.7% of Missouri residents have gotten at least one dose of coronavirus vaccine. For Missourians 18 and older that number is at 55.2%.

In total, 4,986,671 of the vaccine have been put into the arms of residents in the Show-Me State. In the past 7 days, the average daily doses given was 8,181.
