I-70 back open after crash sends one to hospital Saturday afternoon
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
UPDATE (4:05 p.m.): Both lanes of I-70 are back open.
The Boone County Fire Protection district said during the investigation, they found that the troopers car was not hit. No information about the cause of the crash has been released.
UPDATE (3:20 p.m.): One lane is back open.
The Boone County Fire Protection District said a vehicle hit an MSHP Trooper vehicle. One person was injured and is being taken to University Hospital.
The Trooper was not injured.
ORIGINAL: Athouries have shut down west-bound I-70 for a crash Saturday afternoon.
The crash happened near 121 Mile Marker, near highway 40. The crash happened before 3 p.m.
Traffic is being diverted onto Highway 40.
ABC 17 News crews are on the way to the scene to get more information.
