Lake of the Ozarks weekend forecast

Pleasant conditions are forecasted for this weekend which will prompt many people to head outdoors. There’s nothing worse than planning a trip to the lake and then having poor weather or water conditions ruin it. Here's what you can expect if you're headed to the Lake of Ozarks this weekend.

Air temperatures this weekend are expected to rise into the upper 80s on Saturday and into the lower 80s for Sunday. Heat index values will be a factor with dew points on the rise, making things feel like they’re in the 90s and upper 80s all weekend.

Comfortable water temperatures will be the savior of the weekend as water temperatures will be in the upper 60s and 70s, allowing for us to cool off from that summer sun. Don’t forget to reapply sunscreen though after you take a swim as high UV values will dominate the weekend.

If you’re staying until the afternoon and evening on Sunday, you’ll need to keep an eye on the sky. Unfortunately, we’re tracking the potential for showers and storms to push into the area to close the weekend. Remember, when thunder roars, head indoors.

The key things you need to bring this weekend are sunglasses, sunscreen, and lots of water!
