MoDOT to begin improvements on Westbound Interstate 70 next week in Callaway County

CALLAWAY COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

Missouri Department of Transportation contractors will will begin next Tuesday making pavement upgrades along westbound Interstate 70.

Officials say the work is scheduled to switch from the eastbound lanes of I-70 to the westbound lanes Tuesday evening. Crews will be working from Kingdom City to the Boone/Callaway County line.

Crews will resurface eastbound and westbound ramps between Kingdom City and the Callaway/Boone County line and upgrade guardrail along the same stretch.

Most of the work will be overnight and will result in periodic eastbound and westbound lane closures during the night.

The project is scheduled to be completed in November.
