SATURDAY UPDATES: Missouri reports 342 new cases of COVID-19
The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services reported 342 new cases of COVID-19 in the state on Saturday, bringing the total to 509,301 throughout the pandemic.
The state also reported 168 new probable cases through antigen testing. That total now sits at 86,659 cases.
One new death was reported on Saturday, bring the statewide death toll to 9,006.
The positivity rate went up by one percentage point on Saturday, the state's 7 day rate now at 3.9%.
In Missouri's hospitals, 687 people are dealing with COVID-19 infections. Of those, 149 are in the ICU and 89 are on ventilators.
In the fight against COVID-19, 40.8% of all Missourians have at least one shot of the COVID-19 vaccine. That equals 2,501,855 people who have started the process. Of those, 2,068,823 have finished the vaccination process, which is about 33.7% of the population.
Of the state's 18 and older population, 51.2% have started the process, and 42.9% have finished.
In total, 4,427,572 doses of the coronavirus vaccine have been given out in the Show-Me State.
