THURSDAY UPDATE: No Boone County residents currently hospitalized due to coronavirus
The Columbia/Boone County Department of Public Health and Human Services is reporting 19 new COVID-19 cases.
There are currently 49 active cases in the county, an eight case increase from tuesday.
The county now has a reported total number of COVID-19 cases of 18,462.
The county has reported the total number of cases removed from isolation is 18,297.
The Columbia/Boone County Department of Public Health and Human Services dashboard has reported the latest five-day average as 4.6.
The health department is reporting the total number of hospitalizations in Boone County is 16.
The health department is reporting no Boone County residents are in the hospital due to the coronavirus.
The dashboard is showing six COVID-19 patients in the ICU and three patients on a ventilator.
The State of Missouri coronavirus vaccine dashboard is reporting that 84,296 residents have received their first dose in Boone County and 72,060 Boone County residents have completed their vaccine doses.
Boone County has the largest percentage of people in Mid-Missouri that have received at least one dose of the vaccine with 46.7%. The second closest in the state is St. Louis County with 43.9%.
Boone County is first in the state with a reported 39.9% of residents that have completed their coronavirus vaccine doses. St. Charles and Atchison County are second in the state with 36.2% of residents have completed the doses for vaccination.
Cole County has the second-highest first vaccination rate in Mid-Missouri with 37.4%. Montgomery County is third with 33.6%.
Over one-third of Missourians have completed the coronavirus vaccine
The state health dashboard showed more than two million people in the Show-Me State are fully vaccinated against COVID-19, with 33.4% of residents completing vaccination.
The latest dashboard update shows 40.3% of Missouri's population initiated the coronavirus vaccination process as of Wednesday, equating to 2,457,442 people in the state.
As the number of vaccinated individuals continues to increase slightly each day, the seven-day COVID-19 positivity rate remained at 3.7% Thursday.
The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services reported an additional 332 confirmed cases of the virus, bringing the total number of cases discovered through PCR testing to 508,537.
Health officials also recorded 192 more probable cases of the virus. Through antigen testing, a total of 86,301 probable cases have been recorded throughout the pandemic.
No new deaths were added to the state health dashboard Thursday. Since the pandemic first hit Missouri, DHSS has linked 8,996 total deaths to COVID-19.
