The University of Missouri's College of Arts and Science will kick off this weekend's graduation ceremonies on Friday afternoon at Mizzou Arena.

According to the university's website, individuals attending graduation ceremonies are still required to wear face masks and social distance, despite Boone County's health orders expiring Wednesday.

Each ceremony will have around 300 graduates in attendance and last around 45 minutes, according to University of Missouri Spokesman Christian Basi.

Basi says each graduate is allowed up to six guest tickets which would mean each ceremony would have a maximum of around 2,100 people attending. The university doesn't anticipate any traffic or parking issues due to the small number of attendees.

MU Health Care is also hosting a coronavirus vaccination event at Faurot Field on Friday. However, a spokesperson for MU Health Care said the vaccination parking is separate and will not impact the ceremonies.
