Construction to improve Business 50 west in Jefferson City begins next Monday

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

Constructino crews in Jefferson City will begin work next Monday to improve Business 50 West from the Apache Flats area to St. Martins.

The $3.3 Million project was award to a company by the County Commission in March.

Crews will starting section one near the intersection of Route T and will focus on the area between Route T and Rainbow Drive. following section one, crews will then work on the area between Rainbow Drive and South Binder Lake Road.

Portions of Business 50 will be closed to thru traffic and signed detours will be in place. Work on the Route T and Business 50 intersection will begin around June 1st, weather permitting.

The project is scheduled to last the entire year with a completion date of December 17th.
