The Cooper County Public Health Center is hosting a vaccine clinic Thursday open to anyone 16 years or older.

The clinic will be held at Rolling Hills Park off Ashley Road in Boonville, from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m.

The health center has 300 doses of Pfizer's coronavirus vaccine that will be administered on a first-come, first-served basis.

Cooper County is reminding residents that a parent or guardian is required to be present for people ages 16 and 17 looking to get vaccinated.

The health center also has a vaccination event scheduled in Prairie Home on April 20, open to anyone 18 years or older. That clinic will have 100 doses available.

Audrain County is also encouraging walk-ins for a vaccination event Thursday in Vandalia.

The event will run from 8:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. at the Eastern Missouri Family YMCA, located at 309 South Main Street in Vandalia.

The Audrain County Health Department will administer Moderna's coronavirus vaccine at the event.

Those getting vaccinated Thursday in Vandalia will need to return to the YMCA for their second dose on May 13.
