KMIZ

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Cole County Health Director is expected to make some more money for her role during the pandemic.

Cole County Commissioner Sam Bushman says Kristi Campbell will earn an extra seven dollars per hour for the rest of 2021.

She is expected to make about $100,000.

The cost of her raise will be covered with federal funds through the end of 2021 or until the governor cancels a COVID-19 emergency declaration.

Bushman said, "Kristi has handled COVID in Cole County outstandingly, and she has devoted hundreds of additional hours to Health issues over the last 13 months. Kristi is the STAR of Central Missouri, and Governor Parson, Lieutenant Governor Kehoe, and Dr. Randall Williams have all praised her for her the job she has done in Cole County! She and her staff are all our STARS!"
