Mass vaccination events scheduled as tier three residents gain eligibility

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Many mass vaccination clinics in Mid-Missouri are offering the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine this week as tier three residents become eligible on Monday.

Chariton, Cole, Callaway and Pulaski counties all have upcoming first dose clinics scheduled.

Chariton County is set to hold a clinic March 17 from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m., located at Salisbury Knights of Columbus on 311 E Patterson Ave,
Salisbury.

Cole County's clinic is scheduled for March 19 from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m., at The Linc on 1299 Lafayette St., Jefferson City.

Callaway County's mass vaccination clinic is scheduled for March 26 from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m., at Callaway Rural Electric Cooperative on 1313 Cooperative Drive, Fulton.

Chariton, Callaway and Pulaski's mass vaccination clinics will be drive-thru with Cole County's being walk-in.

Monday will be the first day those in tier three are eligible for vaccination, including:

  • Education (K-12)
  • Childcare
  • Communications Sector
  • Dams Sector
  • Energy Sector
  • Food/Agriculture Sector (production, processing, distribution and grocery and convenience store workers)
  • Government (elected officials, judiciary, others designated for continuity of government)
  • Information Technology Sector
  • Nuclear Reactors, Materials and Waste Sector
  • Transportation Systems Sector
  • Waste and Wastewater Systems Sector
