Mizzou hoops hangs on to beat Georgia in SEC Tournament

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (KMIZ)

The Mizzou basketball team did just enough to beat Georgia on Thursday night in the SEC Tournament. The Tigers beat the Bulldogs 73-70.

MU did not make a field goal in the final 6:24 of the game, but the Tigers made their free throws down the stretch to secure the win.

Xavier Pinson had a game-high 17 points. Dru Smith and Kobe Brown each had 16 points.

Mizzou will now face Arkansas in the SEC Tournament quarterfinals on Friday at 6 p.m. The Tigers and Razorbacks split their two matchups in the regular season.
