Mizzou standouts Smith, Tilmon earn SEC honors

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (KMIZ)

The SEC announced its yearly men's basketball honors on Tuesday and two Mizzou basketball players made the list.

Dru Smith was named First Team All-SEC. The senior is also the first MU player to ever make it on the All-Defensive Team.

Fellow senior Jeremiah Tilmon was named Second Team All-SEC following his standout season. He's averaging 12 points and seven rebounds per game this season.

Mizzou will open up play in the SEC Tournament against Georgia on Thursday at 6 p.m.
