One person receives minor injuries in Jefferson City fire

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Jefferson City Fire Department responded to a fire in the 1700 block of East Miller Street Sunday around 7:30 a.m. Firefighters found a fully involved mobile home.

Everyone evacuated from the home, but one person was treated on the scene by Cole County EMS for minor injuries they received while evacuating.

The mobile home was a total loss.

The fire department said it was believed to be accidental in nature but the exact cause of the fire is not known. It started in a bedroom inside the home.
