Police searching for suspect after they shot through a door

Police respond to a shooting at a residence on Jacobs Place in Columbia.

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Columbia police responded to the 2600 block of Jacobs Place around 2 p.m. on Sunday.

ABC 17 News crews saw around six patrol cars and an ambulance in the area.

Police were speaking with people at Jacobs Place Apartments.

Officers put crime scene tape up around an apartment building in the area.

According to a press release, officers found that someone had shot through a door inside the residence. Officers found a shell casing in the area.

The victim described the suspect as an adult male wearing a gray hoodie and who was last seen driving a gray four-door sedan.

Police said there were no injuries reported.

The investigation is ongoing.
