Columbia Police arrest Hirth Ave. assault suspect

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Columbia Police arrested a man Saturday night after he allegedly assaulted a man in central Columbia.

According to a report, police arrested and charged 36-year-old Terence Lashae, of Columbia with first degree assault, armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon.

Authorities responded around 10 p.m. Saturday to the 300 block of Hirth Ave. for a report of an assault.

Upon arrival, police immediately called in emergency medical assistance.

When medical crews arrived, they transported a male victim to a local hospital to be treated for his injuries.

We're working to find out the extent of the victim's injuries.

Lashae is currently being held in the Boone County Jail.

CPD's criminal investigation division is investigating the incident.
