Missourians wait to be vaccinated at Faurot Field

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

MU Health Care will continue rescheduled vaccinations at Faurot Field Saturday.

The event, which was originally scheduled for Feb. 19 and Feb. 21, was postponed after a shipment of 4,000 Moderna vaccines was delayed due to severe winter weather.

Saturday is the second day of the rescheduled vaccination event which also vaccinated residents on Thursday.

“Those who had appointments postponed last week are being contacted with new appointment information for this Thursday or Saturday,” said Brad Myers, MU Health Care director of pharmacy and laboratory services.

Myers says if you had an appointment scheduled for Feb. 19 or 21, to check your email for an update or call the MU Health Care COVID-19 vaccine call center hotline at 573-771-CARE (2273).

MU Health Care has partnered with the Columbia/Boone County Health Department to create an online survey in which people can be notified when they're eligible to receive a vaccine.

The vaccination site is located at the Walsworth Family Columns Club at Faurot Field.

The site is by appointment only, walk ins will not be accepted.
