Police arrest man following an assault on Hirth Avenue

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Columbia police arrested a man after an assault on Hirth Avenue Saturday night around 10 p.m.

According to police, officers arrived on the scene and called for emergency medical assistance.

One man was transported to the hospital to be treated for injuries. Police have not released the extent of those injuries.

ABC 17 News crews saw around 10 patrol cars at the scene.

Police had crime scene tape blocking off a block of the road.

Officers arrested Terence Lashae, 36, of Columbia. He is now facing charges of first-degree assault, armed criminal action, and unlawful use of a weapon.

Police said the investigation is ongoing.
