COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the transportation of an oversized load on Callaway and Montgomery counties Thursday has been postponed.

Oxbo Transport was set to move a large piece of equipment from Ameren Missouri's nuclear plant in Callaway County to a location in Montgomery County. The oversized load was likely to cause traffic delays, the Missouri Department of Transportation warned this week.

The delays could have affected routes CC and O in Callaway County, Highway 94 and highways 19 and 161 in Montgomery County.

The patrol's Troop F said on its social media accounts Tuesday morning that the trip had been postponed. Cpl. Kyle Green told ABC 17 News that the load was postponed because it did not get on the road early enough to reach its destination before dark.

The run has not been rescheduled at this time, Green said.
