David Gibbs leaves Mizzou football for UCF

ORLANDO, Fla. (KMIZ)

Mizzou football coach Eli Drinkwitz has a new opening on his coaching staff. David Gibbs announced he is leaving the Mizzou football program to join UCF's staff.

Gibbs will be the Golden Knights co-defensive coordinator and secondary coach under new head coach Gus Malzahn. Gibbs spent the last two seasons as MU's defensive backs coach.

Mizzou opens up its spring practices on Feb. 28.
