Plow crews out in Columbia ahead of winter weather

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The city of Columbia brought plow crews in at 7 a.m. on Sunday to respond to winter weather.

The city advised residents to drive with caution as well as closely monitor the forecast and changing road conditions.

Columbia Public Works said it expects snow up to 6 inches with slick road conditions likely.

Residents are also encouraged to check the MODOT Traveler's Map to stay up to date on changing road conditions.

Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop F sent a tweet on Sunday advising drivers to stay home unless absolutely necessary.
