COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Fayette man was rushed to a Columbia hospital with serious injuries after crashing his truck on Highway 240 in Howard County early Monday.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says Christian Stanbery, 22, drove his Ford Ranger off the road at Highway 240 and County Road 436 just after midnight. The truck hit a ditch and a fence.

The patrol said Stanbery was wearing a seat belt but suffered serious injuries in the crash. An ambulance took him to University of Missouri Hospital.

A University Hospital spokesman said Stanbery was in good condition late Monday morning.
