JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

House Democrats voted Sunday to expel Rep. Wiley Price from their caucus.

"This action is consistent with the censure resolution the House of Representatives recently passed, which in addition to other penalties called for the denial of privileges of office," House Minority Leader Crystal Quade said in a statement.

The statement also said his removal from the House Democratic Caucus was necessary to hold him accountable for his actions.

House lawmakers voted earlier this month 140-3 to censure Democratic Rep. Wiley Price after he was accused of having sex with an intern.
