SUNDAY UPDATES: State reports fewer than 2,000 new COVID-19 cases

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

ORIGINAL: The Department of Health and Senior Services reported 1,451 new COVID-19 cases on Sunday.

In total there have been 382,094 cases of the virus reported across Missouri since the pandemic began.

As of Sunday, 3,576,638 people have tested for the virus.

The state reported 3 new deaths related to the virus Sunday, bringing the total number of deaths to 5,312.

From the most recent report, there were 2,696 people hospitalized with COVID-19, and 659 are in the intensive care unit.
