FRIDAY UPDATES: State reports more than 2,000 new COVID-19 cases

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

ORIGINAL: The Department of Health and Senior Services reported 2,076 new COVID-19 cases Friday.

There have been 378,887 cases of the virus reported in the state. DHSS has reported 16,437 cases in the past seven days, ranking Missouri 19th in the nation for new cases.

As of Friday, 3,555,031 people have been tested for the virus.

The state also reported 14 new deaths. As of Friday 5,308 people have died from the virus in Missouri.

There have been 71 new deaths reported in the past seven days. The state ranks 11th in the nation for new deaths.
