COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Mizzou linebacker Nick Bolton will forego his senior season and declare for the 2021 NFL Draft. He made his announcement on social media on Monday.

Bolton also said he will not play in the upcoming Music City Bowl against Iowa.

"I'm excited to chase my childhood dream and start preparing for the 2021 NFL Draft," Bolton said on social media. "I'm proud to be a true son!"

The junior linebacker led MU with 95 tackles this season, including 7.5 tackles for loss. He's was one of five finalists for the Butkus Award, which goes to the top linebacker in the nation.
