Madison Street reopens after Christmas tree delivered

A portion of Madison Street was closed Monday morning while crews delivered a Christmas tree to the Governor's Mansion.

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

Crews reopened Madison Street Monday morning after is was briefly.

A release from Gov. Mike Parson's office said a Christmas tree was delivered at the Governor's Mansion around 7 a.m.

The release said the 40-foot tree was donated from a farm in Desloge, Mo.

The annual tree lighting ceremony will happen at 6 p.m. on Friday. Candlelight tours will also take place at the mansion Friday night and next week.
