Jefferson City man arrested after allegedly stealing a truck in Fulton
FULTON, Mo. (KMIZ)
Fulton Police arrested a Jefferson City man after he allegedly stole a truck a week ago and was found in a Fulton hotel Monday morning.
According to Fulton Police, an officer responded to a stolen vehicle at a gas station after the owner left the vehicle running and unlocked.
According to court documents, a gas station employee gave video footage of the theft to police.
According to officials on last Tuesday morning, an officer located the vehicle with the suspect inside and attempted a traffic stop.
According to the release, the driver, Turner Murrell, drove off and ditched the vehilce in a field. Police report several things were stolen from the vehicle.
Early Monday morning, Fulton Police located Murrell at a Fulton Hotel and took him into custody.
Murrell is charged with tampering with a motor vehicle and resisting arrest.
Murrell's bond has not been set yet.
According to court documents, Murrell is currently under the supervision of Missouri Probation and Parole for Burglary 1st and 2nd Degree.
