Four people shot at Fulton Event Center
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
UPDATE 4:50 P.M.: Fulton Police responded to the Fulton Event Center around 1:40 a.m. Sunday for reports of shots fired.
When officers arrived they found several shell casings as well as damage to several vehicles and properties.
During the investigation, authorities found four people were shot and transported to the hospital by different vehicles, according to a press release from the Fulton Police Department.
Multiple people were there during the shooting, but left before authorities arrived.
Victims from the shooting received non-life threatening injuries. They did not provide details to police about what happened.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Fulton Police Department or Crime Stoppers.
The Fulton Event Center posted to its Facebook page saying it does not rent out the building past midnight.
"We were taken advantage of by someone that deliberately lied about his intentions. Our facility was rented from 6-11 for a birthday party for his grandmother. We now know that never happened and wasn’t ever his plan," the post said.
It also stated that by coming back after 11 p.m. those who were on the property were trespassing.
UPDATE:
According to the Callaway County Sheriff, his department is "assisting the Fulton Police Department with a shooting that occurred in the 1900 block of North Bluff (Business 54)."
Columbia Police Department officials we spoke with suspect the victim found in Columbia and the shooting in Fulton were related but could not confirm.
We reached out to Fulton PD but have yet to hear back.

Authorities are investigating after a gunshot victim was located in west Columbia Sunday morning.
Officers said a shooting did not occur in the area but our crews did see police cruisers near the 2600 block of Highland Drive around 2:45 a.m. Sunday.
Police said the victim was taken to University Hospital.
