COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Columbia police responded to Geyser Boulevard near Rice Road around 10:30 p.m. on Sunday.

Police confirmed there were shots fired in the area. They also confirmed there was some property damage.

A news release from the police department sent out at 10:24 a.m. on Monday said several witnesses reported hearing several rounds of shots fired.

ABC 17 News crews saw at least eight patrol vehicles at the scene.

Officers were searching the area with flashlights and were knocking on doors in the neighborhood.
