Report: Border War postponed in 2020 due to COVID-19

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

Mizzou and Kansas will have to wait another year to resume the Border War rivalry on the hardwood due to COVID-19, according to a report from the Kansas City Star.

An MU spokesman would not confirm the report, but he said head coach Cuonzo Martin will address the originally scheduled Dec. 12 matchup on Wednesday after MU's first official preseason practice.

Last October - the two schools agreed to renew the rivalry.

Here's a list of the updated schedule of Border War matchups.

2021-22: TBD – Lawrence, Kansas

2022-23: TBD – Columbia, Missouri

2023-24: TBD – Lawrence, Kansas

2024-25: TBD – Columbia, Missouri

2025-26: Dec. 13, 2025 – T-Mobile Center, Kansas City, Mo.

2026-27: TBD – T-Mobile Center , Kansas City, Mo.
