Mizzou goes with Bazelak at QB for matchup up with No. 17 LSU

COLUMBIA, Mo.

Mizzou football coach Eli Drinkwitz has named Connor Bazelak the starting quarterback for the Tigers road matchup against No. 17 LSU.

MU will kickoff against the Tigers on Saturday at 8 p.m. You can watch Coach Drinkwitz's full news conference from Tuesday in the video player above.

Bazelak replaced QB Shawn Robinson in the second quarter against No. 21 Tennessee this past Saturday. The redshirt freshman was 13/21 for 218 yards and an interception in three quarters.

In COVID-19 news - Drinkwitz said he'll make a final announcement on MU's situation on Thursday. He said the team is still working through a few things from the Tigers trip to Tennessee. Drinkwitz added two players returned to the team last Thursday, and he expects to have two more players back Tuesday.
