JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

Devin Schrimpf pleaded not guilty on Sept. 1 in the murder of Marquise Conley, 18.

Schrimpf is accused of killing Conley on Rolling Hills Drive in Jefferson City in November 2019.

When police arrived, they found Conley dead from gunshot wounds in the back bedroom, according to court documents.

A witness told police Schrimpf had called the home multiple times before the killing and said he would "shoot the place up," court documents said.

Prosecutors also charged a second Holts Summit teen in connection to the murder.

Grant O. Deppe, 17, is charged with accessory to second-degree murder, accessory to armed criminal action and accessory to tampering with evidence.
