Veteran dies after fight at eastern Missouri bar

WENTZVILLE, Mo. (AP) — Two men are charged with second-degree murder after an Air Force veteran died from injuries from a bar fight in eastern Missouri.

Chaise Dunlap of Old Monroe was injured early Saturday in Wentzville.

His mother told the newspaper on Monday that her 27-year-old son died of severe head trauma and had been hospitalized on life support.

Charged in the case are 24-year-old Devin Dodson of Wentzville and 30-year-old Deangelo Williams of St. Louis.

Charging documents say there had been several fights earlier that night at the Lava Lounge Hookah and Bar.

Williams was walking to his car when Dunlap allegedly followed after him yelling racial slurs.
