Airplane’s landing gear collapses at Jefferson City airport

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

Jefferson City police and fire responded to the Jefferson City Memorial Airport Sunday afternoon after an airplane slid on the runway.

An employee of the airport told ABC 17 News crews the landing gear on the four-person aircraft collapsed, and the airplane slid through a stop sign at the airport.

One person was on board at the time. The employee said they were not injured.

There will be an investigation into the incident.
