SUNDAY UPDATES: Boone County reports lowest number of new cases in five days

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

UPDATE 4:50 P.M.: Morgan County reported two new Coronavirus cases on Sunday. The county has reported 107 cases of the virus since the beginning of the pandemic.

There are now 19 active cases of the virus.

The county has reported one virus related death.

UPDATE 4:05 P.M.: The Columbia/Boone County Health Department reported 41 new COVID-19 cases on Sunday. This was a drop from 78 new cases reported on Saturday.

Boone County reached a record on Friday with 81 cases.

There have been 1,964 cases of COVID-19 in Boone County. There are 399 active cases of the virus.

The positivity rate in the county is sitting at 10.6%.

The five-day average has jumped to 64.6.

UPDATE 2:15 P.M.: The Howard County Public Health Department reported two new confirmed cases on COVID-19 on Sunday.

There are now 18 active cases in the county.

Two people in Howard County were hospitalized with the virus.

ORIGINAL: The Department of Health and Senior Services reported 75,075 cases of COVID-19 cases on Sunday.

There were 74,257 cases reported on Saturday.

There was one new death on Sunday bringing the total up to 1,426.

The seven day percent positive rate is at 11.5%.

At least 957 people were hospitalized on Sunday with the virus.
