SUNDAY UPDATES: New daily cases drop in Boone County

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

UPDATE 4:40P.M.: The Columbia/Boone County Health Department reported 21 new cases of COVID-19 on Sunday. That is less than half of the 50 new cases reported on Saturday.

There have been 1,608 cases reported in the county. There are currently 314 active.

The five-day average is at 29.2.

ORIGINAL: The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Service reported 67,475 cases of COVID-19 on Sunday. There were 66,397 cases reported on Saturday.

There have been 1,367 deaths from the virus reported in the state.

The department reported 889 hospitalizations in the state on Sunday.

At least 845,618 people have been tested for the virus.
