Woman stabbed with ‘fillet knife’ in Columbia

COLUMBIA Mo. (KMIZ)

The Columbia Police Department is speaking with a person of interest after a woman was stabbed in Columbia early Sunday morning.

Officers said they responded to the corner of North 4th Street and Hickman Avenue at 1:41 a.m. for reports of an assault in progress.

Upon arrival officers found a woman with a cut to her arm. She was taken to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

Officers say they do not have anyone in custody however, they are speaking to a person of interest.

This is an ongoing investigation and we will keep you updated as soon as soon as we get more information.
