Murder trial scheduled for husband of missing Columbia mother
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
The murder trial of a Columbia man accused of killing his wife was scheduled for September.
According to court records, Joseph Elledge's trial for the murder charges he faces is set for Sept. 1 in the Boone County Courthouse.
The trial was originally scheduled for June 2 but was postponed in May.
Joseph Elledge was indicted on first-degree murder charges in connection to the disappearance of his wife Mengqi Ji in February. Elledge reported her missing on Oct. 10.
Ji has not been found. The Columbia Police Department completed a search in the Lamine River last month for Ji but did not locate her body.
Elledge also faces multiple charges of child abuse but a trial has not been scheduled in that case yet.
ABC17 News has reached out to both the Boone County Prosecutor and Elledge's attorney for a comment, but neither were immediately available.
