Two in custody and one on the run after Boone County high speed chase

BOONE COUNTY Mo. (KMIZ)

Authorities are looking for a suspect after a high speed chase through Boone County ended with two arrests.

According to Sgt. Brian Leer, the Boone County Sheriff's Office spokesperson, at about 11:56 p.m. Friday, deputies tried to stop a white Toyota with no registration for speeding near I-70 and Hwy 40.

The driver failed to stop for deputies and a chase ensued into Columbia.

The Columbia Police Department and the Missouri State Highway Patrol assisted with the pursuit.

The driver of the Toyota, which was later determined to be stolen, took authorities south of Columbia on Route K and Old Plank before crashing off the road near Barcus Ct.

At that point a male suspect ran from deputies while others on scene arrested Angela Gomes Tejada and Gisselle Rosales-Rodriquez for second degree tampering with a motor vehicle.

Authorities are still searching for the third, male suspect.

The investigation is ongoing. If you have any information on this chase you're asked to call CRIMESTOPPERS at 573-875-TIPS.
